TWSE Goes Online in Japan

The Japanese website for the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE) will officially begin operating from July 31.

By designing the Japanese website, TWSE hopes to assist Japanese investors to become better acquainted with the Taiwan securities market, as well as to encourage Japanese investors to invest in Taiwan.

The TWSE is the third stock exchange in the Asia Pacific region to run a Japanese website, besides Korea and Thailand.

Information offered by the TWSE Japanese website will include: market chart, information about the TWSE, off-hour trading, corporate governance overview, listing in Taiwan by foreign issuers, products and services offered by TWSE, make-up of indices and authorization, types of listed securities, investors education, guidance for newcomers, and investment by overseas Chinese/foreign nationals.

TWSE hopes the establishment of the Japanese website will attract Japanese businesses and funds to actively participate in Taiwan’s capital markets.
