The Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE) states that internal auditors are closely involved in the practices of corporate management and governance. To continuously improve corporate governance in Taiwan, as well as help internal personnel and auditors better understand the scope, benchmarks, and relevant contents of corporate governance evaluation systems, the TWSE and Taipei Exchange has commissioned the Institute of Internal Auditors, ROC (Taiwan) to hold six “Seminar with internal personnel and auditors of TWSE or TPEx Listed Companies - Corporate Governance Evaluation” in Taipei, Hsinchu, Taichung, and Kaohsiung, starting from September 21st.
These forums will not only explain the system and benchmarks for the second corporate governance evaluation, but also provide an analysis of the results of the first evaluation to guide enterprises in strengthening corporate governance. Furthermore, along with their certified accounting firms, a listed company and an OTC company that ranked among the top five percent in the first evaluation have been invited to share their experiences in each forum. There, they will be able to create an exchange with enterprise representatives, share practical experience related to the implementation of corporate governance, and promote methods for further improvement.
TWSE hopes these forums will help listed companies better understand their own implementation of corporate governance evaluations, assist corporations in further strengthening their efforts, and improve the overall level of corporate governance among Taiwanese companies.

The published contents meet the practical requirements of listed companies. Therefore, around 1300 people have signed up as of September 10th, reflecting people’s enthusiasm for the forums. Please feel free to visit the website of the Institute of Internal Auditors, ROC (Taiwan) for more information.
