Continuing to promote good quality corporate social responsibility (CSR) reports, the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE) will be co-hosting the “GRI Regional Hub Annual Reporters Meeting” on November 19 in Taipei with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and Business Council for Sustainable Development of Taiwan (BCSD). Stakeholders are invited to discuss the latest trends of CSR reports.
 
TWSE has required particular companies to prepare and file CSR reports since 2015, and the scope of required companies are set to be expanded in 2017. Companies should refer to GRI’s latest Sustainability Reporting Guidelines, Sector Supplements, and guidelines for their particular industry to compile CSR reports for the previous year. To keep in line with international practices, TWSE became the first stock exchange in Asia to join GRI’s Organizational Stakeholders in July of 2015. This conference, to be held in Beijing, Hong Kong, and Taipei, serves as an important platform for stakeholders to exchange knowledge. With this, GRI continues to improve reporting practices and understand the implementations of GRI guidelines
 
In “GRI Regional Hub Annual Reporters Meeting”, GRI’s director of services and an expert from BCSD will be giving their professional insights. Furthermore, company representatives will share valuable practical experiences on management policy disclosure, which will help increase the quality of CSR reports and raise public awareness on corporate sustainable development.
