TWSE to Co-host “Announcement Event for Traditional Chinese Integrated Reporting Framework”

Publish time:2015-11-30

The Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE) will co-host “Announcement Event for Traditional Chinese Integrated Reporting Framework” along with PwC Taiwan Education Foundation and BCSD Taiwan on December 1, aiming to provide a brand new way for enterprises to communicate how they create value over time.

The TWSE joined in the Traditional Chinese Integrated Reporting Translation Committee in April, 2015, and has been deliberating the translation content with experts from accounting standards stipulation institutions, market participants, enterprises and academia. The version, after three months of deliberation, is officially confirmed to be Traditional Chinese by the International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC).

Integrated Reporting is a framework proposed by the IIRC, which extends the concept of “capitals” from financial aspects to manufactured, intellectual, human, social and relationship, and natural capitals. Aiming to communicate the elements that have a material impact on the organization’s ability to create value over time in a more coherent and effective way.

The TWSE indicates that enterprises must squarely face those sustainability issues the world is confronting, establish long-term goals and strategies, develop diversified performance evaluation indicators, and continue to communicate the connections between current behaviors by enterprises and the long-term goals with stakeholders.
