Corporate Governance 2.0 Forum: Global Perspectives and the Taiwan Experience

The Taiwan Academy of Banking and Finance (TABF) and the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE) plan to hold the “Corporate Governance 2.0 Forum: Global Perspectives and the Taiwan Experience” at TABF Lecture Hall on May 5, inviting representatives of listed companies, mainly directors and supervisors and other experts. 
 
Opening remarks will be delivered by Chairman Ming-Chung Tseng of the Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC) and Chairman Sush-Der Lee of the TWSE.  Professor Yin-hua Yeh of National Chiao Tung University, former FSC commissioner, will give a keynote speech on corporate governance developments from global perspectives and the Taiwan experience.  A panel discussion regarding enhancement of board functions, one of the projects of the 2013 Corporate Governance Roadmap, will be arranged to focus on board performance evaluation and nomination committees.  To balance the composition of panelists, experts well-known in the legal and accounting professions and from a prominent financial holding company will be invited. 
 
Insight from the keynote speech and discussions will sharpen awareness of corporate governance values and enhance these practices in Taiwan.
