To further enhance the corporate governance of Taiwan’s listed companies, “pushing” by legal requirements and “pulling” from markets are equally essential.
 
Institutional investors, as major market participants, are expected to leverage ownership rights and discharge their stewardship responsibilities to drive investee companies to elevate their governance quality and eventually, bring values to the markets.
 
Instructed by the Financial Supervisory Commission, TWSE Corporate Governance Center, Taiwan Depository and Clearing Corp., Securities Investment Trust and Consulting Association and Taiwan Financial Service Roundtable jointly announced the consultation document for “Stewardship Principles for Institutional Investors".
