The TWSE announced that it will launch a brand-new ESG InfoHub website on July 3, with the goal of integrating the environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) information of listed companies. At the same time, it will provide designated pages on ESG products, domestic and foreign resources, and greenhouse gas inventory to help investors and enterprises easily understand and use ESG related information, and serve as a reference for ESG investment and sustainability transformation.

 The sustainability issue is gradually receiving attention from investors and enterprises around the world. Investors are valuing company performance in ESG more than before, and enterprises are measuring their performance based on ESG indicators to transform and seize opportunities for sustainable growth. The ESG InfoHub will become an important tool for ESG investment, helping investors and businesses enhance their awareness and understanding of the sustainability issue.

 The ESG InfoHub will include five major aspects: market highlights, ESG dashboard, products, related regulation particulars and greenhouse gas inventory. Market highlights provide features of the recent ESG development by Taiwan’s capital market and listed companies, including the preparation of sustainable reports and number of assured companies, plus the gender diversification progress of the board of directors, which has been the focuses of recent market attention.

 The “ESG Dashboard of Listed Companies” function is also launched on the ESG database page, allowing users to easily query and compare the ESG information of listed companies, and quickly compare ESG indicators across companies and industries through the image visualization function of the dashboard, in order for them to understand the changes. To facilitate investors’ understanding of ESG-related products, the ESG InfoHub provides links to enterprise sustainability-related indices and ESG indexation products to help investors find suitable investment instruments. In addition, it provides domestic and international ESG related laws, regulations and promotional materials to advance the education and exchange of ESG issues among enterprises.

 The TWSE said that the launch of the ESG InfoHub is an important milestone in its commitment to promoting an ESG ecosystem, achieving goals such as the sharing and application of ESG data, promoting ESG investment and guiding the investment of sustainability capital. In the future, the TWSE will continue augmenting the ESG ecosystem to make it the niche for Taiwanese companies to compete internationally and enhance the overall competitiveness of Taiwan’s capital market.
