In response to the net zero carbon emission target and to implement energy-saving and carbon reduction actions, the Taiwan Stock Exchange has jointly established a paperless application system with the Taipei Exchange in the Assurance Institutions Zone of the Corporate Governance Center website. Starting from August 10, 2023, the recognition application process for assurance institutions and personnel can be completed through this system by filling in the application form and uploading supporting documents online and a list of recognized assurance institutions and personnel will be automatically disclosed by the system. The switch to online paperless operations will simultaneously improve operating efficiency and protect the environment in a friendly manner.

 After the implementation of the “Directions for the Implementation of Assurance Institutions for the Sustainability Report of TWSE/TPEx-Listed Companies” on January 1 of this year, the recognition operations are carried out by the applications of assurance institutions and personnel to the Taiwan Stock Exchange and the Taipei Exchange by submitting the paper-based application form and supporting documents and after approval, their names will be disclosed in the Assurance Institutions Zone. For the application in the future, an assurance institution should first go to the Assurance Institutions Zone of the Corporate Governance Center (https://cgc.twse.com.tw/), click on “Account Registration” under “Application and Filing” and use its English short name as the exclusive account to facilitate subsequent applications and the filing of study hours. For assurance institutions and personnel that have been disclosed in the Assurance Institutions Zone, there is no need for re-registration or adjustment.

 In addition, a list of units that meet the requirements for offering continuing study courses for assurance institutions has also been disclosed in the “Units Offering Assurance Institution Training Courses” section in the Assurance Institutions Zone of the Corporate Governance Center website (https://cgc.twse.com.tw/agencyCourse/listCh).
