In line with the “Roadmap for Taiwan listed companies to align with IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards” released by the Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC), listed companies in Taiwan will begin adopting the IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards in three phases starting in 2026, based on their paid-in capital. To mark the beginning of Taiwan’s “Sustainability Disclosure New Era” in 2026 and to assist listed companies in smoothly transitioning to the new standards, the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE), in collaboration with the Taipei Exchange (TPEx), Taiwan Futures Exchange (TAIFEX), and the Taiwan Depository & Clearing Corporation (TDCC), will jointly host the “IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards Conference.” Four sessions will be held in Taipei, Hsinchu, Taichung, and Kaohsiung, with the first session kicking off on October 14, 2025. Companies are encouraged to seize this opportunity and actively register for participation.

According to the TWSE, the conference will feature representatives from the Securities and Futures Bureau (SFB) of the FSC, who will explain the direction of amendments to the “Regulations Governing Information to be Published in Annual Reports of Public Companies.” Experts from the Big Four accounting firms will also provide an introduction to the IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards using IFRS S2 industry-specific disclosure examples, clarify common questions raised during the adoption process, and share practical solutions to implementation challenges. In addition, discussions of the ISSB’s Transition Implementation Group (TIG) on issues raised by global stakeholders will be highlighted. The event will also outline the implementation timeline and key steps for Phase 2 companies (those with paid-in capital of NT$5–10 billion). Through these sessions, the TWSE aims to enhance listed companies’ capabilities in sustainability data collection, analysis, and disclosure, while accelerating their transition toward sustainability.
