To enhance corporate integrity and CSR, TWSE holds seminars for directors and supervisors

To assist the directors and supervisors of TWSE or TPEx listed companies in understanding corporate integrity risk control and the importance of corporate social responsibility for sustainable development of companies, from August 27 to mid-September, Taiwan Stock Exchange and Taipei Exchange will hold 4 seminars of “Seminar with Directors and Supervisors of TWSE or TPEx Listed Companies - New Perspectives on Corporate Integrity Risk and Corporate Social Responsibility” in Taipei, Hsinchu, Kaohsiung and Taichung, respectively.
 
Taiwan Stock Exchange indicated that doing business with integrity is one of basic conditions of company for the pursuit of sustainable success. The company's strategy and risk management must be integrated into the ethical value of integrity to avoid the legal liability and goodwill impairment resulting from unethical behaviors and effectively reduce events occurred on the leak of valuable business secrets. In addition, through compilation of the CSR report, the disclosure of economic, environmental and social impacts arising from business activities, and the demonstration of commitment to fulfill its social responsibilities, manners and performance are helpful for the company understand clear the company’s true face under international standards, being as an effective communication tool with interested parties. Under the trend driven by responsibility investments, the ESG information in CSR reports is also an important basis for assessment of companies.
 
        The seminars are specifically tailored to directors and supervisors of TWSE or TPEx listed companies by inviting Yang, Shih-Chin, deputy director of Agency Against Corruption, Ministry of Justice and Mo, Tung-Li, Deputy Secretary General of the Business Council for Sustainable Development of Taiwan to give lectures on topics of “Sharing Corporate Integrity and Ethics” and “From Corporate Social Responsibility to Corporate Sustainable Development,” respectively, and also by sharing and exchanging experiences with directors and supervisors of TWSE or TPEx listed companies.
